LNowadays, musical score publishing is almost nonexistent in Argentina. The only thing that still remains from the great publishing days is the memory of them, because there are no new editions of old scores.

This new collection of music for guitar is the result of several wills merging to overcome any difficulty with the enthusiasm of creation. We have worked together combining skills: composers and interpreters complementing each other in a double vision, seeking to generate spotless editing jobs in relation to the preservation of the exact correlation of the printed signs and the musical result, and musicians working together with the experts on the art of graphic design to obtain scores with a great visual beauty.

The creative level of this works is assured given the importance of the writers that are a part of the series. Contemporary music carrying the best meaning that this words have: new works that do not deny tradition and combine both academic and popular elements naturally, regarded as a basic need of a language that puts together the best of those fields.

About Carlos Aguirre

My desire to hear the music of Carlos Aguirre on the guitar joined his interest in drawing a strongly personal language with just six strings.

It has never been easy to meet him in Paraná, we both travel a lot. However it is mysterious how naturally each day of work has left a gift for our instrument.

We are presenting this collection as a group of pieces, Imágenes, works that translate a state of conscience of the composer turning true internal landscapes into sound.

About Ernesto Méndez

Talent and coherence of thought, a strong instrumental education and capability to work. If we add such skills to the fact of having a lot to say, sooner or later we will surely find ourselves in front of a remarkably strong line of work.

My relationship with Ernesto, which began in the roles of teacher and student, naturally became a friendly exchange of ideas among peers that share a common reality about the place we inhabit and a commitment with art itself.

I'm very enthusiastic about his ideology without concessions and his respect for the classical formation, even if the ultimate goal of the artist resides in popular music. A sharp perception that gives the heart its proper value, giving the rational the place it deserves in the creative process.

A connoisseur of the rich constellation of rhythms of our country -which has always had a natural means of expression in our instrument-. We should count him as one of the great guitar composers in Argentina.

About Walter Heinze

What else than a great strike of luck, to have been Walter's pupil when I was ten years old? He has been a part of the guitar movement generated by Jorge Martínez Zárate in the sixties, strong training received with the independency of a powerful intellect that soon found its voice in the composition and interpretation of Argentinian music.

Through time, he has shaped a piece of work developed with no rush or pauses, with a specific interest in some of the less visited expressions of our folklore: preludios criollos, estilos, aires litoraleños.

I take natural pride in the fact that he dedicated his work "Tríptico Argentino" to me, which was published by Lemoine in Paris, among other pieces.
